Accessibility statement

This is a translation for convenience; the Romanian version prevails.

We want WhereTo to be usable by everyone. Our target is level AA of WCAG 2.1 (standard EN 301 549).

What works

• A "Skip to content" link, and the current page marked for screen readers.
• Controls are native buttons and links, so they can be used with a keyboard; we haven't yet done a full keyboard and screen reader audit.
• Animations stop when your system asks for "reduced motion".

Known limitations

• The map is not fully accessible with screen readers. Every place on the map can also be found in the list in Explore.
• Some colour combinations don't yet have the required contrast, and photos don't yet have text descriptions; we are fixing them.
